Since 1991, we have offered hardware and
software systems for beer distributors and six-pack shops that handle all retail and
wholesale functions as well as accounting and governmental reporting requirements.
In response to the increased demands of the marketplace, we have recently introduced the
"Susquehanna Sentry" - a three tiered approach to minimize the damage that can
be done by underage sales.
The "Sentry" interfaces with the SBS MALT BEVERAGE DISTRIBUTOR SOFTWARE SYSTEM
or the SIXPACK SHOP MANAGER SOFTWARE SYSTEM, both of which run on any IBM compatible PC.
Tier I - Scan the drivers license
A reader scans the magnetic strip on the
drivers license and verifies the information on the face of the license. The information
is displayed on the computer screen, and the system verifies that the purchaser is of
legal age. In addition, the ID information is permanently stored, along with a record of
the products purchased, in the computer system. The system will also print a completed
form PLCB-931 - Declaration of Age.
Currently, the system is capable of reading Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Florida and
Maryland licenses. We add other states as information becomes available.
Tier II - Record the purchaser's image in
video tape
An optional video system records the
purchasers image, ID information and products purchased on video tape. The video also
doubles as a security record.
Tier III - Keep a printed log of ID's
checked and other activities
To make the video information easier to
find on playback, add a printer which concurrently prints an index of ID's, voids, cash
drawer openings, keg sales, etc.
PLCB Report
At Month-End, the system automatically
prepares the PLCB report as well as the supporting schedules.
Multi-Tasking
Increases Productivity
Multi-Tasking simply means that your
computer can do more than one job at a time.
For Example: You select a report to
print. With multi-tasking, you may continue to enter data or ring up sales while the
report prints. With single-tasking (which most systems are), you must wait until the
report is printed before the system can be used again.
Multi-User Capability
Allows Growth
This unique software allows single user
systems to be upgraded to multi-user configurations. The system will operate more
than one register or work station at a time. By using terminals rather than a
network of additional computers, we offer the most economical and fastest multi-user
system in the industry.
